Domaine Maizerets
The Domaine Maizerets is a lovely wide park located in the Cité-Limoilou close to the St Lawrence River that you can reach in 10 minutes by car and also by public transport. Some popular activities to do in the park are biking, tour of historic buildings, extensive gardens and arboretum.
Belt in 1777 the classified historic monument of Maison Maizerets was conceived following the typical French Regime architecture guidelines. The imposing barn made of stone was belt in 1755.
Nowadays the goal of the Domaine Maizerets is the educational through the interpretation of the nature. It’s also possible to see easily a wide variety of birds like Great Horned Owl ducks.
You can enjoy 27 hectares of landscaped gardens in this natural reserve, woodland, wetland and creek. Over 1,500 trees of 215 different essences. 300 different cultivars like bushes, shrubs, climbers, perennial, flowers, a beautiful water garden with its aquatic plants and the unique labyrinth of cedars.
Activities In the summer
There are walking trails through the park and two bicycle paths pass by the park. You can also bike to Montmorency fall from there or to Old Quebec.The park is suitable for picnics. There is free parking and it is accessible by public transport. This peaceful park is ideal for a walk around.

In 1984, a group of citizens founded a corporation with the aim of offering neighborhood residents a diversified choice of recreational activities including a day camp for children. In 1989, the organization receives the official mandate of the City of Quebec to take charge of the entire animation and maintenance of the site, many new mandates of horticulture and animation of the site by parties, events, activities and workshops of all kinds.
