Inaugurated on 2023 July 5, the new part of the Promenade Champlain named Station de la Plage allows the return of swimming along the St. Lawrence River, a very popular activity in the past.

You will find a Pavilion open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., beach cabins for changing, outdoor showers, two terraces, an infinity pool by the river, a public beach and a restaurant service.

Very close to the Station de la Plage is the Station de la Voile. This brand new part offers visitors: BBQ, volleyball courts, petanque courts and a grass area.

To get there by car, three parking lots are located near the stations. By bus with the RTC network, Promenade Champlain is served by route 400 every weekend in the summer until August 25, 2023.

L’Oasis du Port de Québec: swimming in the St. Lawrence River

Swimming in the Basin Louise offers a unique experience, which is different from traditional swimming pools. Swimming is accessible every day from June to September from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the terrace is open from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
